In early 2020 COVID 19 began to overrun our day-to-day lives. Negativity, fear, and anxiety ran rampant on social media. But poking through all of that were post after post of people doing a simple (if slightly quirky) thing to brighten their neighbours’ days: painting rocks and hiding them around common community walks. “COVID Rocks: A Simple, Feel-Good Story” is a community co-created documentary that paints a portrait of the rocks grassroots initiative, and the impact it had on Calgarians during this global crisis.

Director Biography – Paige K Boudreau

Paige K Boudreau is a Showrunner and Director for documentary and scripted projects. Having begun her career in the edit suite, she has a sharp and thoughtful eye for how to craft vulnerable, compelling stories. Paige’s eccentric directorial voice shines brightest in films including: Mallory Memphis, Up In Smoke, NOSTOMANIA, and The Indigo Undergo – as well as REELZ’s true crime docu-drama series Friends Speak. Currently in development for her first feature film, Paige continues seeking opportunities to collaborate with interesting people while telling meaningful stories.
