Frostbitten & love smitten! It’s the bitterly cold Winter of 1979 as Rusty types away in his trailer. His fiancé had just left him at the alter and in response, Rusty uproots himself from Minnesota and relocates to the middle of nowhere. He’s not completely alone for Alice, whom he refuses to accept has left his side, stands nearby in the form of a mannequin. Rusty’s new utopia is disturbed by Babs, Ruth-Ann & Fran; three local bullies who developed a jealous streak towards Alice. Their reconnaissance mission begins & the snowballs fly as the temperature plummets ‘2 Below 0’!
Tim Cash is an Oregon filmmaker whose artistic vision & technical capability allow him to weave a beautiful tapestry of images creating a compelling & involving story. Tim’s feature film, ‘The Astronot’, received awards at over 150 film festivals in 2018.
Working on 2 BELOW 0 was a challenge but an all around incredible experience. We had 9 straight long days of filming in freezing conditions. Pennan Brae and I had worked together on numerous music videos and a feature film prior to this so we’re able to take everything we learned from previous projects and apply it to this one. So excited to share this film with the world! I feel as though this is my best work to date!
