Dear Universe is a story of resilience and hope, set against the backdrop of government funding for mental health community homes coming to an end in the late 1980s. House Manager Barry (Greg Smith) must find a way to prepare the residents in this gentle, charming, character-driven film.

Director Biography – Greg Smith

Greg Smith is a writer, director, and actor with over 20 years of experience in the film industry. He is known for roles in feature films such as King Kong, Mt Zion and Broken Hallelujah; as well as television shows and short films such as Amazing Extraordinary Friends, Meathead, directed by Chelsea Winstanley, and Help, which won him Best Actor at Tropfest 2015. His short film Hot Chocolate won best short at Subversive Cinema Society Film Festival 2016.
